[Fix 11.2.1] Telnet Issue Need help

Post by thaigh256 » Tue Jan 29, 2013 7:36 am

I am using telnet to control an Analog Way video switcher, I have done this many times before with great success, dot it has been a while and I have upgraded SCS and My computer. Now I know that the switcher is fine as I can send it commands with another telnet program lust fine. Right now I can send ONE command to the switcher but when I try to send any more they don't do anything. if I go back to puttytel (a basic telnet client) it works fine and if I then restart SCS I can send ONE command before it does nothing. What am I missing??

I've emailed you details of a tracing version to run.

After some investigation it was found that the switcher needs LF (0AH) at the end of each message, possibly in addition to CR (0DH). Although this can be achieved by hand-coding <CR><LF> at the end of each ASCII-CTL message, an extra checkbox has now been added to Telnet and RS232 Control Send cues to allow you to easily include LF at the end of the message. This new feature will be available in SCS 11.2.0.
