Multiple ASIO device support.....in SCS 11

Have just upgraded to SCS 11 from 10....

I usually run an M Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R, a USB unit, with its ASIO driver, using all its 8 outputs for small theatre work. Need a few more outputs for Blithe Spirit (voices from ghosts, and other fx all over the place!).

In the past have added my M Audio FW410, a firewire unit, to add extra outputs, also using its ASIO driver (M Audio does not support multiple USB units, so cannot add another Ultra 8R.....) and this has always worked well under SCS 10 xx...

Spent an aggravating hour or so today chasing possible driver faults etc trying this trick in SCS11.01..... and I cannot get the combination to work....either one unit, or the other but never both together.

Have checked by running SCS 10 on same machine and all instantly works....

Any ideas Mike???

Many thanks for excellent program!

Mark

I wonder how you were able to use two completely different ASIO units together. Are you sure you were running both units under their ASIO drivers?

Have you tried ASIO4ALL? It is a free program that will allow you to use multiple ASIO devices at the same time.

SCS using SoundMan-Server has the option of aggregating multiple ASIO drivers natively.

Thanks Eric for the suggestion. As I said then (sorry this has been so long: having been talking to Mike D I rather didn't look at the forum....) I had no problems with running both the MAudio Fast Track Ultra AND the MAudio FW410 together when using ver 10.
Indeed since then I have run a whole show (Blithe Spirit for Wilmslow Green Room Theatre) without a glitch (sorry, actually with one... )
Perhaps using ASIO4All would improve things and I will try it out here over the next couple of weeks.. rather busy at present!

Again thanks for the suggestion
