Single button external control?

I've had an email from someone who wants to trigger a sequence of SCS cues from a button in a public display at an exposition. So ideally we are looking for a robust single button unit that can send a pre-programmed MIDI or RS232 message. Any suggestions?

http://ducksechosound.com/ They don't have a single button solution but the MR-4 is just about indestructible and sends MSC commands.

They can also solder a industrial panel mounted push button at the right button on the pcb from a old mouse

And Andy Leviss does good work.

The Duck's Echo Sound unit looks good if you need several buttons.

For a single-button solution then combining suggestions I've received from Carl Underwood and Charlie Richmond this seems a good solution: an Allen-Bradley Push Button connected by cable and 1/4" jack to a MIDI Solutions Footswitch Controller. Any other robust push button switch could alternatively be used (either NC or NO) with the MIDI Solutions controller. Carl used a MIDI Solutions footswitch controller for a recent show - yes, with a footswitch!

I suppose I should explain.
The reason for using a foot switch with a MIDISolutions F8 is that on many cues in the last show I ran - M*A*S*H, both hands were tied up as I also ran a manual 2-scene preset lighting board at the same time.

I purchased the F8 used and set it up to do a GO with MSC. The foot switch I used was an inexpensive M-Audio SP-2 Sustain Pedal purchased from Amazon.

I just found this utility board http://www.halemicro.com/wp/products/umc32m/. It's very easy to use and the configuration utility runs on Windows. I used it to make myself a USB MIDI remote for SCS for about $125.
