Hi Mike,
I have a question:
since I have installed version 8.4.3, some sound files in a project start with
a short loud bang.
And this does not always occur with the same take.
When I used version 8.4.0 it was all fine.
Can I just de-install 8.4.3 and then re-install 8.4.0 afterwards,
or do I need to delete certain entries manually?
My setup is as follows: Centrino Notebook 1,73GHz, 1GB RAM, Windows XP
MediaCenterEdition, RME Fireface 800.
Greetings,
Frank
Trouble with SCS 8.4.3
To give you an answer before Mike wakes up:
If you still have 8.4.0 as a separately identifiable update file (in a named folder, as they are all called scsupdate.exe) you don't have to uninstall 8.4.3; just run the 8.4.0 update and it will replace everything.
Also have a look at this thread.

As Malcolm says, you should be able to just run the scsupdate.exe file from the 8.4.0 download. If you don't have that anymore I can make it available.
However, I can't see any reason why 8.4.0 would be any different to 8.4.3 in this regard. If reverting to 8.4.0 does cure this then I'll need to get some info from you to help identify what changes have caused this.
