SCS Program crash when loading new cue file (fix in 10.8.5)
I've just started using SCS (Standard version - 40 cues) and am involved in a show which requires approx 90 cues - so I have created 3 cue files which I want to load in succession - using a quiet section of the play.
But when I try to load a new cue file - the process fails giving a subscript exceeded error and I have to close the program, re-open, and then load a new cue file.
This happens both with XP on a netbook and with Windows 7 on a desktop, which I use to create the files.
Any ideas ?

Re: SCS Program crash when loading new cue file
Which version of SCS are you using, and can you give me the full error message?

Re: SCS Program crash when loading new cue file
I'm using SCS 10.8.4
Message is :
Error 2147220991 Subscript out of Range
SCS 10.8.4
ProcName = calcvisiblerowNo
Cue File ..........
Continue with Program Yes / No
Yes - just repeats the message
No - Closes programme with associated Windows sounds !
I seem to be able to avoid it by closing the programme, re-opening, then immediately loading cue file - but it's tedious !
Is there a way of closing a cue file within the programme, before loading a new file ?

Re: SCS Program crash when loading new cue file
That's odd. I've looked at that area of code and tried various scenarios in an attempt to reproduce the error, and everything works OK - no error. The program is trying to re-position the visible portion of the cue list in the main SCS window.
You say your show is 'this evening'. Your present work-around is the best solution, but to resolve the problem I would need you to run a trace version. I'll email you details of the trace version, but I understand you will not have time to run that today. How many more performances do you have, and when?

Re: SCS Program crash when loading new cue file
Regarding the windows sound on closing the program, I recommend you select 'No Sounds' as your Windows Sound Scheme. This is set via the Windows Control Panel.

Re: SCS Program crash when loading new cue file
Actually, I can recreate this same error but in a different scenerio. If I start SCS with one Cue File and then 'Open' another one I will often get this error. I can clear it pretty quickly by clicking 'Yes' several times . . . the ammount of times seems to depend on the Cue File size. Although it doesn't appear to be the same set of circumstances I'll send you a trace file, Mike in the hope that it may help!

Found the problem - thanks for the trace files, Martin. I'll email you both details of a new version to try.

Hi Mike . . .
Have just run the trace version and the issue re the above seems to be solved . . . I'm not getting the error in the scenerio I described. Hopefully the fix will solve LadyEmilyHall's problem too!
