Show Cue System

Quick question that I cant get to work but it is going to involve long drawn out pretense.

I have created several cues that make up preshow music. The first cue is manual of course. All the rest of the cues are Auto start on the previous one finishing with fade times up and down of 5 sec. That part works great but I can't wait for version 9 so I don't have to fool with this.

Second part of cue doesnt work right. I never know when the preshow music will be faded out because it depends on when the show will start. So I created stop cues that stop all the preshow songs from playing. Which worked fine as well but when I activate the stop cues speakers 1 &2 fade out like they should and Speakers 3&4 do not fade they just cut off. Why are they not fading out when the fade out time on those cues is set to 5 sec.

Here is an example of my set up in short hand

A Preshow song 1 speakers 1 &2 Fade up and Down 5 sec
A.1 Preshow song 1 speakers 3&4 fade up and down 5 sec
B Preshow song 2 sp 1&2 Fade 5 sec Up & Down Auto start end of Cue A
B.1 Song 2 Speaker 3&4 Fade 5 sec Auto start beginning of Cue B
C Stop Cue for A, A.1, B and B.1

In this case A and B fade and A.1 and B.1 cut off with no fade

What am I doing wrong !?!?!??!?!?!?!?

Just change your stop cue to stop A and B only. Because of the links it will fade the .1 cues as well.

The other thing I've done is to take all the preshow music and build them into one file. That way your stop Q only has to worry about one running Q.
I use Sound Forge, Audacity or even SB's Wave Studio to edit files.
