I added a cue to an existing SCS show, a 40 minute preshow cue, and I get this error Message:
Error 6 Overflow
SCS V8.4.3
ProcName=OpenSoundFile
Cue=
Cuefile=D\Ah Wilderness\Ah Wilderness.scs
The cue was added but everytime I click on the cue, this error message comes up.
???????
Thanks

It seems as if the cue file is somehow corrupted. For example, when a cue is saved the program checks that a cue label has been entered, but the error message you have provided has the line:
Cue=
What should follow the = is the cue label, which appears to be blank.
Can you email me your "Ah Wilderness.scs" file and tell me which cue or file you click on that causes the error?

How big are the files you are trying to play, Kalle, and what format? Soundrick had a WAV file of over 330Mb, and when this was reduced to file of about 60Mb it played perfectly. There is obvously a problem with large files, but this does seem to be a work-around. If, for example, your large files are WAV files used for pre-show music then a format like MP3 should be quite acceptable.

I tried it with long stereo wav file and large multitrack wav. But after accepting the error messages it played the files, so it´s not so big of a deal. And yes mp3 is an option.

Although I re-rendered the large file and now have a 60mb mp3, clicking on the error message closed it and the file played fine. I re-rendered so the op would not be startled by the Error message.

So you still get the error message with the 60Mb file, but it's recoverable?

No, no error message with the 60mb file. My point was that the large still worked after clearing the error message.

I've just uploaded SCS 8.4.4 which should fix the error. From my calculations I think any file of more that 256Mb would have caused the overflow error.
