FYI, I used version 11.1.2 for a bunch of shows last month, and it worked just fine with ASIO drivers. This show had > 200 cues (I used one cue file per act) and was very complex, with tons of auto-start cues , multiple tracks going at the same time on different outputs etc. No problems. To get around the sound glitches with ASIO I have put the music on an SD card for the last 2 years. That gives me a pretty constant latency regardless what happens on the C: drive. I have tested 11.1.3 and the new buffering for ASIO and it solves the glitch problems on the C: drive, so I may switch back to that for the next show.
p.s. there were a few releases (RC? I can't remember) of 11.1.x that I couldn't use due to problems, but Mike fixed them really fast and I switched in the middle of the show's run. Yeah, I know that's stupid ... but I got away with it this time.

Hi Gary,
I forgot to mention in my last post that I also use an SD card. However I was still getting stuttering and lagging issues. It got to the point where I and the other sound op were panicking about pressing the space bar and nothing happening! Just about to download 11.1.3 so fingers crossed it will all go swimmingly...

Sounds like something bad is going on with your computer and/or audio drivers. Have you tried preloading all the sound tracks into memory? That will isolate the problem - if it stops stuttering then it is a disk access problem, else it is something else. You can also try running the Task Manager and Resource Monitor and see if you can spot strange things during the stuttering. How often does it occur?

The new async file reading feature implemented in 11.1.3 should solve these issues - assuming there are no significant driver or hardware issues outside our control.
