1024x768 screen?

Post by icarusi » Tue Aug 01, 2006 11:45 pm

Does the current SCS editor window fit in a 1024x768 screen? I'm looking at the V9.2.2 demo and the run screen fits (and can be resized) but the editor window is clipping some of the buttons at 1024x768 and I can't find any options to resize or scroll.

I am running V9.2.3 Professional. I normally run at a higher resolution but I set my display to 1024 x 768 to check. Which buttons were clipping? The Editor can now be run full screen or any size less (by dragging), but at 1024 x 768 its window needs to be about 80% full screen to show the editor in full - it doesn't scroll.

SCS is developed on a 1024 x 768 screen so there should be no problem.

What version of Windows are you using? The following applies to Windows XP so may be different if you are using something else:
  • Right-click on your desktop and open the Properties window.
  • Under Appearance what do you have for the Windows and Buttons, and what do you have for Font Size?
  • Under Settings click the Advanced button. What do you have as the DPI setting?

I haven't tried the settings you are using, but I suspect the 120 DPI setting is the cause. My setting is 96 DPI (Normal size). Could you email me a screen shot of what you are getting?

If I change to 96 DPI everything in the edit screen is now in the 'frame' but the font size in other apps is too small for me. It's quite a palaver to switch, easier to go to the next screen res up which AFAICS is 12.5% higher linear, rather than the 25% difference of the font change.

If you change your font to 120 DPI you'll see what I saw.
