"Auto Activate Cue must be selected"

I'm trying to get to grips for the first time with programming a (Audio) subcue, so that it does "Auto start" "5 seconds" after "start of cue" (meaning the main cue). But every time I think I've finished programming it, a window pops up saying "Auto Activate Cue must be selected".
Select what, how? Have looked in the Help Contents, and typed in that message in Search but no luck. Nothing I press helps and I cannot see any window that I have failed to fill in that would do the trick. I am therefore unable to progress beyond this point
What does the message want me to do please? Thanks

If you have a sub-cue that you want to start 5 seconds after the start of the cue that it belongs to then in the sub-cue's properties set the 'Rel. Start' field to 5. Leave the cue's 'Activation Method' as Manual (or whatever activation method you need for the whole cue). For more info, see the description of 'Rel. Start' in the Help under Audio File Cues.
