SCS and dual headed displays [resolved in 11.6.0]

Post by d_korman » Mon Oct 24, 2016 6:10 pm

I have a dual monitor setup and as soon as I start SCS it grabs the second monitor for video playback. I don't want it to do that! WHen I'm building a show I use the second display for audio editing, recording, searching for effects files etc. How do I stop SCS from grabbing the display? I can't see anything in display options that will disable this.

Thanks

Setting the maximum number of screens that SCS may use could be added as a Display Options - which would also mean you could have different settings for 'Design Mode' and 'Performance Mode'. Currently the only way you could do this is to temporarily disconnect the second monitor while you start SCS, and then reconnect it as soon as SCS has fully started.

Thanks Mike, that's a usable workaround - though it would be better to have the configurable option you suggest.

Meant to say - 11.3.8 doesn't do this, it leaves the second display (extended desktop) alone.
