fade only with SFR cue?

Post by kevinmcdonough » Fri Jun 17, 2016 6:11 am

hey

Just in the middle of making up a show playlist for a dancing performance.

The tracks are all edited to the correct time, have ending fades or sudden stops etc already written into the audio as needed, but there is always the chance that someone may fall, or something may change and the song may be cut short. So after each song I would like to add a SFR cue set up to fade, so that if needed I can hit go and that track will gradually fade out.

However I would like the fade ONLY to activate if I manually press the SFR cue. if the song actually makes it to the end, I'd like it to play without fade and stop in whatever way is already programmed into the audio. Adding the SFR cue as a fade still just acts as a sudden stop until I add a fade out time into the settings of the audio track. But soon as I do that then the track fades out as it finishes, whether I've stopped it or not.

Can't seem to see (if it is indeed possible) how to set it so that the fade time only takes effect if I SFR the track, otherwise it plays to the end without fade?

(Also it'd be hand if, when it gets to the end of the audio, it automatically skipped over the SFR cue, instead of me having to press GO once to run the now redundant SFR cue and then again for the next track, but that's a minor issue).

Thanks as always,

Kev

In the SFR cue, select 'fade out and then stop'
and also set in the SFR cue the 'time overide for fades' to say 5

Then if you don't use the SFR cue, the track ends as per its cue, if you do use the SFR cue, it fades out.

I would create a single SFR cue on a Hotkey (Trigger) actioning 'all playing audio cues', which can be used or not as required.
