Has anyone done extensive work running SCS using Crossover on a Mac? I just played around with it for a little while today and it works pretty well, after a fashion. Lots of error boxes, but if you click past those, it seems to run okay. Would definitely benefit from actual development by the Crossover team or a talented coder using their development tools.

Re: SCS and Crossover for OSX
Hi,
I have had some luck running SCS 11.2.4 on mac osx 10.8.5 under 'winebottler' (http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/) on a mid 2009 13" macbook pro. Seems to run audio pretty smoothly but have not tried midi, video dmx etc. No error boxes, just jumpy screen redraws (but audio not affected). This would be worth looking into. I have used Qlab before, but prefer SCS as it feels more intuitive to me.
Cheers,
Giles Tanner.

Re: SCS and Crossover for OSX
Never tried it with cross over but we run it in boot camp on a mac mini and it is rock solid. I have also used it in parallels and it seems to work fine. Only issue was switching between boot camp and parallels they use different audio drivers so it would be a good idea to have 2 profiles. Newer version of SCS seems to be smart and recognize this and switch automatically now? Only other thing is in parallels the networking is tricky depending on whether you use bridge mode or shared and stuff like that but seemed to be OK for at least setting up a show and doing some edits.
Just out of curiosity why would you want to use SCS in a mac environment? I would like it to be available for OSX too but natively just so I don't have to constantly run parallels.
