Hi everyone , has anyone created a pan on a sound effect between devices ?
I'm using the latest version of SCS and have a GIGAPORT HD+ card ( 8 outputs , running to 4 stereo pairs in the desk )
The example I'm trying to do is start a plane flying from the back of the auditorium on 1 device ( output 1+2 )
move it to device 2 ( output 3+4 ) and then the rear of the stage on device 3 ( output 5+6 )
Any thoughts/advice/guidance would be appreciated
Cheers
Paul

Actually I think I've got it. If the first cue has the follow on devices muted and then
I create sub cues to level change up each device in turn while fading the previous
device it should create the movement effect I want ( hopefully ). Timings will need
some tweaking but in theory should work unless there are better ideas ?

Yes, that's correct. I remember the same setup for Miss Saigon where a chopper sound effect was panned from the rear of the auditorium to the stage, and then shortly afterwards panned back again. It was a touring show and the sound designer told me that although it took a little while at each venue to get the timing right, the end result was perfect. They had side speakers as well as front and rear speakers, and (of course) were using SCS.

Hi folks,
by chance we had such thing in our "Winnetou" production open air this summer. A gun is fired and the bullet flies to a rock front left, a building behind the audience, a rock on middle of the stage, font left again, then to the right of the stage and hits a tree. It's Q23, an audio cue with some sub cues for the panning: Regards Jörg
