Hi Mike,
Is the ability to do video fades on the horizon yet for SCS 11 or would I need to go back to 10.9.7 for that feature?

Re: State of Video playback in 11.1.5?
I'm hoping to have video fades ready for beta testing very soon - probably next week. I was keen to include this feature in SCS 11.2 before the official release, but the amount of work involved was considerable, including going down several dead-ends. So 11.2.0 has been put on hold and will be released as 11.2.1 but with new video features included.
11.2.1 will use integrated VisioForge libraries for video playback which will make possible some new features, including:
Shortly after that there will be the ability to cross-fade videos or play videos seamlessly back-to-back. Some restrictions apply - I'm still working through the restrictions and need to discuss them with VisioForge support.

- Videos may be faded in and out.
- The audio may be sent to any DirectSound output, not just to the Windows default sound device.
- A 'monitor' video display will appear on the main SCS window. This is similar to the video display you see when you do not have an external monitor connected, but will be displayed even when an external monitor is connected (although there is an option to suppress the monitor display).
- Also (and this is unrelated to using VisioForge) the 'aspect' control in the editor has been changed. Instead of this being a slider there is now a drop-down list to enable you to select from common aspect ratios including: 16:9, 4:3, retain the video's aspect ratio, display full-screen, or set a custom aspect ratio (which does use a slider).

Very good news. I have a gig in late June that might need this video ability.

Hi,
I to am looking forward to video fade in, out and cross-fade.
VisioForge looks like a great addition to SCS and I look forward to working with this.
Greig.
