Hello Mike!
We are using SCS now in the third year and it's a great program!
But we have a little problem with it.
At first, we are using a fireface 400 and not using the internal mixer. Actually we are using scs 10.7.6 (we will update soon after our theatre season ends).
Basically everything works fine, but sometimes when you start SCS and you want start a track nothing happens.
That means if you hit the go button, the time doesn't start and there is no output. Things like fade cues are still working.
It seems that this is only appearing when you open a cue file with more than two outputs.
You can work around this problem by sending a test tone in the sound device tab in the Production properties.
We would be pleased to get help with this little problem.
Kind regards
Tobias

Re: track doesn't start
Under General Options / Permanent Options, try increasing the 'Max. No. of Audio Files to Pre-Open' to 20. This enables SCS to look further ahead when pre-opening files.
Re: track doesn't start
Thanks for your response! I tried to set the pre opend audio files to 20 but it doesn't help anyway. Actually i don't believe that this has to do anything with the problem because when you start SCS all files (we set it to 5) are loaded. The problem appears when you start SCS and all audio file don't play.

I've emailed you details of a tracing version I'd like you to run.

Re: track doesn't start
Tobias has advised me that the problem was in the Fireface driver. After downloading and installing the latest driver all SCS cues worked fine and started immediately as they should.
btw, to fix this problem it may also be necessary to check Interleaved in the Fireface Setting dialog. This is a recommendation from RME and is one of the changes that Tobias made, but it was only when the latest driver was installed that the problem was fully resolved.
