We have a new computer with a new sound card at the theatre. The sound card is a Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium (SB0880) and it has four stereo analog jacks on the card, capable of outputting 7.1 channels. The computer is running XP Professional, service pack 3.
When setting up SCS, all it shows is left and right on the sound card.
Can anyone tell me the steps to go through so that SCS can send audio to those different channels?
(We're primarily interested in sending to Front L&R and Rear L&R.)

Re: Need Help with Soundblaster Card
Which version of SCS are you using? Try with the latest version (10.7.3) if you are using an earlier version.
Also, if you go to the Windows Control Panel / Sounds and Audio Devices and select the SoundBlaster, what Speaker Settings do you have? (You may have to click the Advanced button to see this info.)

Re: Need Help with Soundblaster Card
Thanks for the reply, Mike. We are running SCS 10.7.2.
I found out the problem has nothing to do with SCS. The Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium sound card has three different modes, and the default mode is NOT the one that allows ASIO to output to different channels. We had to change the mode (using Creative's set-up software) to "Audio Creation Mode". Then all the different outputs appeared in SCS.
So even though we are not creating (recording) any audio, you have to use the audio creation mode to output to more than two channels.
Not sure why, but SCS shows 16 output channels, even though the card only has eight (four stereo pairs) analog output jacks.
We love using SCS and thanks for the improvements you keep making and the additional features you've added.
