Yamaha M3000 Mixing Console

Post by tonyvena » Tue Mar 07, 2006 2:37 pm

Our church has a Yamaha M3000 mixing console and I am interested in using SCS to control the board. Has anyone had experience controlling this mixer? Thanks.

I haven't had specific experience of this desk but the Yamaha M3000 range (M3000-40C, M3000-24 and M3000A) support MIDI control of the scene memories on the sound desk as far as I am aware.

You would therefore be able to set up 'scenes' (mute scenes) and store these into a scene memory on the sound desk and then use Sound Cue System to trigger (activate) the changes of these stored scenes via MIDI control message changes.

This is a relatively simple process, all the information regarding which MIDI messages are required are in the manual which can be downloaded from http://www.yamaha.co.jp/manual/english/index.php. Enter M3000 as the model.

Hope this helps.
