I am using the latest version of SCS and have been trying to add a playlist to the start of the list of cues to play pre show music. The playlist consists of 4 tracks, set to auto repeat. The trim level for the overall playlist is at -20dB and the level fader is at -22.9dB. This was fine when I created at and played OK. However we had our 1st dress last night, I only put the playlist in just before we started. Today when I try to make edits on the cues (any cues, I'm not trying to change the playlist cue) I am unnable to do anything. I cannot select another cue for editing, it gives me an error message that says something like the playback level (0dB) cannot be greater than the trim level (-20dB). However no amount of changing fade or trim, levels and re saving the show seems to change this!
I have spent all morning trying to sort this. I couldn't even delete the playlist cue so I could go on and make the edits to the show I needed to do, as when I tried to delete it I am told I cannot delete it as it is referenced by the cue that fades out this pre show music. And of course I couldn't delete that cue as I can't select any other cues in the list for editing! I thought I had just lost three days of tech!!!
Eventually I hit on the idea of opening the show file in a text editor and I was able to find the playlist cue and delete it. But it has lost me a lot of time and a great deal of frustration. I will be playing pre show music from CD from now on.

Re: Play list cue problems - serious bug! SCS 10
That's strange. The error message "dB level cannot be greater than the trim level" is currently only applied to Audio File cues, not to Playlist cues. Internally, Audio File cues, Playlist cues and Video cues all share the same 'file' array, so it seems that the validation function found an Audio File field set that should have been clear for a Playlist.
In SCS 10.2.0 I'll modify the Playlist validation to ignore fields not used with Playlists, and also add the correct validation of the Playlist dB level / trim fields.
Do you still have a copy of the cue file that includes the Playlist cue and which gives the trim level error? If so, please email it to me.

10.2.0 (now released) contains fixes that should prevent this happening again, but if you still have the original cue file (the .scs file) then please email it to me so I can try to find out how the error originally occurred.

Sorry I don't have the original cue file that caused this anymore.
