SCS Demo problem (solved)

Post by David Longmuir » Sun Oct 12, 2008 4:27 pm

Hi!

I have downloaded the demo and have installed it on my laptop and my workstation. All seems to be well on the laptop, but I receive an error message when trying to open SCS on the workstation.

The message is:

Error 380 Invalid property value
SCS 10.2.0 (Demo)
ProcName = fmMain.Form_Load
CueFile = C:\users\David\Documents\SCS_Demo\demo.scs

I have searched the forum, but this problem does not seem to have arisen for anyone else. So it would seem that the problem is with my system, and i am hoping that someone might be able to point me in the right direction in order to solve it. SCS is the only application, to date, that will not open on this system.

I am running Vista Ultimate 32bit SP1 (upgrade from XP), Intel Core2 1.8GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, nvidia Quadro FX 1500 display adapter, 3xHD (2 as raid stripe-0) Also, everything is up-to-date, according to Windows Update. (And demo.scs is in the location indicated in the CueFile line above)

With many thanks,

David

David,

I'll email you tomorrow (Monday) with information about what I need to track down this error.

This error message was found to be due to having the "Symbol" font de-activated on the workstation. The "Symbol" font is used in SCS 10 for displaying the infinity symbol on level sliders.
