Re: SCS with Motu 828mkII HELP!!!!!
James,
I don't have access to a MOTU 828 but when recently investigating a similiar query I was supplied with the following information by another user:
When you install any MOTU interface, it installs a number of drivers, and some Control panel software. One of those is called CueMix, and controls the hardware mixer built into the MOTU device. The other is a general control panel for the device. On one of the tabs in this control panel is a checkbox that says 'Use Legacy Drivers' or something similar. This has to be checked (have an "X" in it) for all the individual output pairs in SCS. The default is for it NOT to be checked. We have to do this the first time we install on each new computer, then leave it alone. Restart SCS and all should be good.
Thanks to Nick for the above info.

Re: SCS with Motu 828mkII HELP!!!!!
An update on this from an email I've received from James: "after redownloading scs10 the asio function worked a treat. So not sure whether the download was faulty or not complete but not to worry its working a treat now."

I'll also quickly add having just had my own MOTU woes... Apparently there is a problem with the most recent USB/Firewire drivers released by MOTU. I was scratching my head for two days trying to get an original (though v2 hardware) 896 working, I found the previous driver version (from I think late '07) and it's worked like a charm.
