Hi, first post and all that!
I've been trying to decide what to buy to use as a portable interface with SCS. I've narrowed it down to the Echo Audiofire 4 and the Presonus Firebox.
I'm just posting to ask if anyone has used either of these interfaces with SCS and if they both work properly! I.e. are all the outputs available etc!
Thanks in advance
Ian

Re: Firewire Interfaces
The theatre I'm involved with has purchased the Presonus Firebox. We connected all six analog outputs to our mixer and all are selectable by SoundCueSystem. Sound quality seems excellent and overall we are pleased with this unit.
One precaution: If the PC you connect to is running Windows XP Professional SP2, there's a patch available from MS (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885222) that fixes a problem whereby the speed of the firewire port is defaulted to the lowest setting. We were experiencing problems with audio files stuttering occasionally and installing this patch seemed to correct the problem.

Re: Firewire Interfaces
Avoid the Echo, they tend to break down when your really relying on them! (personal experience). Have you checked out the MOTU range? I'm useing the 828mk3 (it's great) but i know people who love the Lite.
