Hi all
Anyone had experience with SCS and MA410 on VISTA ?
Looking to replace our theatre Sound System Computer.
Most new computers come with VISTA, XP is becoming harder to buy new.
We are running SCS with a M-Audio Firewire 410, on
a hand-me-down computer running MS XP.
Backup and development is my personal Dell laptop with XP Pro.
Any known issues with transporting cue files etc between
a VISTA-based performance system and a XP-based
development / backup system ?
Thanks,
Dan Sheehan

Re: SCS_MAFW410_VISTA
Hi Dan:
For audio in our theatre, we have a Lenovo PC desktop running XP Pro. I use a Dell XPS notebook running Vista Home Premium to work on audio at home. As I indicated on the other thread "Anyone tried SCS under Vista?", we experienced no problems transporting a show prepared on the notebook under Vista to the desktop machine running XP. Today I tried the opposite transfer moving a show we just prepared on the XP machine to my Vista notebook. Again no apparent problems.
At the theatre, I have used both machines to run shows through an M-Audio Firewire 410. The only problem we encountered was with the firewire PCI card in the desktop. An ATEN brand card didn't work but a replacement SIIG works fine. The firewire port on the Dell notebook worked without any problems.
Regards
Austin
