Hi there,
I tried the demo version of the Soundman Server the other day for possible use for future live inputs etc. All worked ok but I noticed that the VST Plugins button was greyed out. Am I right in thinking that plugins are not supported with SM-S and if so any plans to include this in the future? I have SCS Professional PLus, using current version. Many thanks for any advice and help!

Re: Soundman Server and VST Plugins
Unfortunately SM-S does not currently support VST plugins. The SM-S documentation just states: "In a future version, SoundMan-Server will be able to host a large number of VST plugins ". However, I doubt that this is likely to be provided any time soon.
BTW, for a recent production we needed a few cues where a voice was heard over an intercom. So I pre-recorded the actor speaking the part and then for each cue I played the relevant part of the file, applying a VST effect. That gave me the idea to add this new feature to SCS 11.10.2: "When selecting a VST Plugin for an Audio File Cue, you can now select 'Same Plugin as <cue>' eg 'Same Plugin as Q204'. This is useful if you want to apply the same effect to multiple cues, and during development you need to make some adjustments to the VST effect."
