New and Changed Features in SCS 11.10.2
- Added BCR2000 and BCF2000 SCS Faders support for controlling the device levels of the first currently-playing audio file sub-cue, ie giving you BCR2000/BCF2000 control of the device levels shown in the cue panels.
- The copy and paste buttons for DMX Items in Lighting Cues are now re-enabled where appropriate. The buttons for Entry Type 'DMX Items' had been disabled in SCS 11.8.3.2.
- With ENTTEC DMX USB PRO devices, the format of the serial number that SCS interrogates has changed in recent devices. SCS now accepts this changed format (as well as continuing to accept older formats).
- The 'Move to Time' feature (M2T) now also supports cues and sub-cues activated 'on cue marker'.
- In addition to SCSremote, SCS now supports any app that can communicate with SCS using OSC network messages. To use this, select 'OSC App' as the Remote App in Options / Remote App Interface.
- When selecting a VST Plugin for an Audio File Cue, you can now select 'Same Plugin as <cue>' eg 'Same Plugin as Q204'. This is useful if you want to apply the same effect to multiple cues, and during development you need to make some adjustments to the VST effect.
- If you have multiple audio output devices used in an Audio File Cue then you can now temporarily link selected devices and adjust their levels manually, applying the same dB adjustment to each selected device.
- Performance improvement in VU meter handling, particularly with regard to VU meter displays for video cues.
- MIDI Control Send messages to be sent to an 'A&H SQ Series' remote device now support 'Recall Scene' numbers up to 300. Previously the limit was 100.
- After importing devices from another cue file, the Production Properties / Devices tabs may not have been refreshed to show the imported devices.
- Certain time fields (eg lighting cue fade up time) were not being set correctly, and some time fields that should accept times in minutes, such as 2:30, did not.
- Parameters used in callable cues were not always applied correctly. This particularly affected time fields, such as lighting cue fade times.
- The check for disabling a cue did not allow for 'Previous Cue'.
- When creating or editing a Video/Image Cue or a Playlist Cue, changing the transition info would not take immediate effect in the editor.
- A second or subsequent 'logo' Image Cue would not always replace the previous 'logo' image, especially if fades were specified.
- Cue Control devices using 'DMX In' may not have processed all incoming relevant DMX channel values, especially if they were sent in rapid succession.
- If a dummy DMX port is selected (eg for a Lighting device) then SCS could throw an error on trying to close the device.
- If a required MIDI output device is not available and the user selects 'ignore this device' then SCS may still try to send MTC to that device, and that would throw an error.
- When setting up a MIDI Cue Control device in Production Properties, an error would be reported if the 'Play Cue' command and any other command both had 'Control Change' selected as the MIDI command, regardless of the selected CC number.
- Checking the Sound Designer Password in 'Lock Editing and 'Options' could fail, even if the correct Authorization String was entered.
- In Bulk Edit, 'Apply Peak Normalization' did nothing for files that had not yet been scanned by SCS.
- When importing devices and selecting a lighting device, the lighting device's fixtures may not have been populated in the device map, causing a possible memory error on trying to set a fixture's DMX start channel.
- A cue set to start 'before end' of another cue may not have started at all if the specified time is short, eg less than 0.4 second.
- Changing the selected Controller in the Faders window setup did not reload the MIDI control devices, resulting in the change not taking effect until SCS was reloaded.
Some features may not be available in all license levels. Please check the 'Feature Comparison' section of the Help for details.
