I am using a PLC to communicate with SCS for an immersive experience. I really love the software and the flexibility it offers. A couple things listed below have come up that would be nice to have as a feature, or maybe they do exist, but I don't know how to accomplish it.
- Controlling Master Fader with Network Cue Control (ASCII UDP from PLC). For my situation, I am unable to use OSC commands, instead forced to ASCII. I understand positioning the fader is easier accomplished with OSC but offering a basic up/down command over ASCII such as "scsMasterFader(Up)" or "scsMasterFader(Down)" would allow me to send button pushes to increase/decrease overall volume at a dB increment set in the shows settings. Sort of like the Master Fader up/down keystroke shortcut.
- I was able to control Master Fader via OSC but had to use a separate program (TouchOSC), just ideally wanted everything centralized. That being said, is there a way to transmit Master Fader value/positional data back to TouchOSC or alternative?
- Alternatively, allowing access to the Master Fader from within a Level Change Cue would suffice.
- Additionally, allowing a relative volume change of a Cue and all it's sub cues (sort of like an aux fader/send bus) would be beneficial. So if I have a cue who has a bunch of subcues that all play out in different rooms/channels, I can control their relative overall volume without having to adjust the device's volume or each individual output from within that cue. Heck, the ability to send cues to a send bus and be able to control those faders like a real mixer would be super cool.
Otherwise, my SCS experience has been incredible! Thank you for the great software.
Suggestion - ASCII Cue Control: Master Fader or Group of Faders
