X32 connection issue when first loading software
X32 connection issue when first loading software
X32 connection issue when first loading software. This is not an issue when first setting up a new file. Only when loading an existing file.
I have the X32 connected to my laptop with a network cable. Laptop is 192.168.1.1 and X32 is 192.168.1.2. When I load an existing showfile I get no response from the assignable buttons on the mixer and an error message that says something along the lines of "network in: ................... unknown command". To get it to work I have to go to production properties/devices/control send, and then change the X32 to any other IP address, hit apply, it says it cant connect of course and I hit the button continue anyway. Then I hit the undo changes button, put the IP address back to 192.168.1.2 and hit apply and it works just fine.
Can anyone tell me why it's doing this? It works every time but I'm kinda getting sick of doing this every time I open an existing show file.

That's strange. Please email me the SCS log file from a run in which this happened. Log files are created and saved in a folder named "SCS Logs" under "Documents", and the name of each file includes a time-stamp indicating when the log started.

Re: X32 connection issue when first loading software
I had the same issue last week while setting up a show. I figured out one more piece of info. This only happens if you set up an x32 for both cue control and control sends on the same IP. Fortunately, I didn't end up needing control sends on that x32 for this show. I'm happy to try any other diagnostic steps if needed.
Re: X32 connection issue when first loading software
Can you please tell us:
X32:
Firmware version?
The 3 networksettings, IP, Netmask and gateway?
Is it set for static or DHCP?
Is there a router? IF so it's IP settings.

Re: X32 connection issue when first loading software
Hi dee,
Firmware: 4.06
X32 Network ip: 192.168.1.2 subnet: 255.255.255.0 gateway: 192.168.1.1
Static IP
I'm using a Netgear N750 which only has the two X32s, a laptop, and a tablet connected. Everything is set to default setting on it and it's IP is 192.169.1.1
I didn't know the console was outdated. I will update the console to 4.09 on Sunday after we close and see if it persists.
Thanks!

"Everything is set to default setting on it and it's IP is 192.169.1.1"
Did you mean 192.168.1.1?

Re: X32 connection issue when first loading software
I did the firmware update to 4.09 last night and the issue persists. I also was able to reproduce the issue on both the X32 and an X32 Compact.
