9.1.5 and 9.2.5 both crashing on laptop

Post by drobkin » Tue Sep 19, 2006 6:56 am

9.1.5 will just stop suddenly and vanish from the screen when I am modifying cues. The error has no pop-up menu or notice of any kind and is not reliably repeatable. The errors I got with 9.2.5 were, somewhat, repeatable.

I go into tech in 6 days and I'm doing lights as well. This is starting to get desperate.

Hi Dave

I have now no problems with 9.2.6, so i suggest you get this version. This now runs on three seperate computers with no problems

Dave,

Apart from Jon's suggestion I can't offer much else. 9.1.5 has a reputation for being quite stable, and the mods supplied in 9.2 were primarily to fix screen repainting issues and security. The screen repainting was related to the certain parts of the screen not being repainted, and the work around for that is to switch to another application, preferably that takes the whole screen, and then swicth back again.

How much RAM do you have?

Regards,
Mike
