Fade out others and the mouse pointer.

Post by PeterMount » Thu Oct 28, 2021 8:11 pm

Please could you help with the following:
1. I've searched but can't find the switch to stop "fade out others" on lighting cues. I'm trying to avoid having to re-enter already running cues every time I start some more lanterns.
2. If my mouse cursor accidentally goes off screen right it shows up on the projected image on stage? Is there a way to fix this in SCS, or is it how my compter is set up?
Many thanks.

1. Re "fade out others", please email me your cue file (the .scs11 file).
2. Re mouse cursor control - unfortunately I'm not aware of any way to prevent the mouse pointer from moving to a screen.

I use Dual Monitor Tools (http://dualmonitortool.sourceforge.net/index.html) which allows you to lock the mouse cursor to a particular screen and prevents the cursor moving onto the projection screen.

Thanks for the log file. Regarding "fade out others", you just need to set 'fade out time for other active channels' to 'do not fade out others'. I've emailed you a screenshot example for one of your cues.

Mike,
Thanks for telling me about toggle for fade out others. Rather obvious I guess, but I'm still learning!
And thanks too Nino re the pointer.
Cheers,
Peter

Was about to post about DualMonitorTools.

The other option is to move your second screen in Display Settings so it’s aligned diagonally - then the only way between screens is to move mouse to that corner. Top-Left would be my favourite as less likely to be hit, and similarly bottom-right of the second screen would be the escape back to screen 1.
