Just a quick update...the 32-bit version installed successfully, and works on this machine. Whatever is causing the crash I described seems to be related only to the 64-bit version.

Installation crashing on first startup
Hi Mike...I've been working mostly in film and live performance, but have a theater design coming up so thought I'd renew subscription and get busy. I downloaded the latest 64-bit version, installed on my studio machine, entered user/key successfully. This all proceeds as expected, and gives me the ...

Video in SCS
Dear Mike and esteemed colleagues... Thanks so much for your good work, Mike. I want to put in a few words about Video in SCS. I did four shows in QLab this spring, and it was the first time I'd worked in that environment. The video support was surprisingly robust, to the point that our original pla...

Re: Minor Problem 10.6.1 (Pro)
I am getting this as well. Clicking through the error messages lets me continue working.

Re: Potential Floating Point Error with null audio?
Hi Mike, I'll get it to you after this show closes this weekend. The ASIO drivers work much better than the WDM, in terms of the quickness of response, tight timing, etc. The WDM drivers introduce that sync problem, which I have actually had on previous shows. The workaround is always to have the ch...

Re: Potential Floating Point Error with null audio?
Here is an update on the situation: Sync problems with WDM drivers seem related to audio cues which overlap, that are not assigned to the same output pairs. A simple example: Cue One is assigned to Apron Fills, Towers, and Subwoofer. As it is fading Cue Two begins. It is assigned to Apron Fills, Tow...

Re: Potential Floating Point Error with null audio?
Mike, thanks again for the quick help. Here's the report: Going to WDM drivers solved the popping/bursting issue. So the bug is ASIO related as well. New problem, though. Now that I've switched to WDM drivers, the sync between playing positions is intermittently off. There is also considerably more ...

Re: Potential Floating Point Error with null audio?
Hi Mike, Let me try. This has been a vexing problem to be sure. I have so many things assigned to single outputs in this show that the routing is a challenge. We switched venues and last night was a tech where I was better able to hear the problem. It is definitely a "mini-burst" type, comes off as ...

Re: Potential Floating Point Error with null audio?
Mike: It's WAV, in this case 16/44.1 for the entirety of the show's cues.

Potential Floating Point Error with null audio?
Hi Mike, Hope you've been well. I have encountered a "crackle/pop" bug at the top of cues which I am fairly sure is caused by a CPU spike. The bug manifests when creating an audio cue made up of several audio subcues, some of which are streaming silence at the top. In my case, I use this technique w...

Re: three bug conditions confirmed
Hi Mike,
Usually fade times, etc. Once the file is in this state, the only way to return it to proper function is to close SCS and reopen.
I'll try to pay attention. I'm in tech, so, it's both good and bad for bug reporting, as you know...

three bug conditions confirmed (#3 fixed in 10.4.0)
Hi Mike, Three bug conditions I reported earlier are confirmed on another machine now. 1) SCS (10.3.2) will occasionally enter a state where it ceases "dirtying" the file for save. I notice this when changing the parameters in existing audio subcues, mostly, although it is not limited to this. Closi...

Re: 10.3.2 I am getting crazy amounts of error messages
I also get error messages when I minimize the application on screen. Sorry to be so painfully light on specifics, I'm in tech and just hoping that the heads up will perhaps spark some recognition in others who may be at more leisure to investigate. I'll try to clarify and provide more documentation ...

10.3.2 I am getting crazy amounts of error messages
Title says it all. Since updating to 10.3.2, I am getting silly numbers of error messages. I generally lay out my entire cue list with Note Cues. Then I add my audio cues to the "Note" as audio Sub Cues, and delete the Note Sub=Cue that is created when I add the Audio Sub Cue. This leaves the title ...
