Wow! That unit is a bit clever! For simple contact closure or potentiometer control, it's fairly easy to set something up, but it really does get quite in depth when looking at other input methods, and I think I could almost see myself finding things to use it for!
Thanks for all the help!

Re: Contact closure via printer port (or similar)
Thanks! They are going the way of the dodo, but as are serial ports it seems too, although it is a lot easier to get USB-Serial products. There are a vast number of computers out there with printer ports on them still even though they are being phased out, and the great thing about SCS is that you d...

Contact closure via printer port (or similar)
Would it be possible to add contact closure via a parallel printer port to the next release of SCS please? This would be a fantastic way of triggering cues, for instance, I would like to use this method for triggering a cue whenever a door is opened. Clearly this also requires me to build a cable fr...

Re: URGENT: "Error !" Playing multiple linked (surround) cue
Sorted! With a fair bit of help from Mike! So for other forum users: SCS was running running multiple surround (mono WAV's linked as sub-) cues at the same time, one of which looped, and the message ERROR! appeared and those cues wouldn't load, so SCS just skipped them. The issue was how I had set t...

Re: URGENT: "Error !" Playing multiple linked (surround) cues
Secondly, "Memory Error" means the BASS audio library has reported "There is insufficient memory". So is this error related to how much RAM you have installed, the ammount of buffer you have available, or limitations of the BASS library? Basically, why does it occur?! Also, slightly off topic... wo...

Re: URGENT: "Error !" Playing multiple linked (surround) cues
Cheers Mike! Internal Mixer is disabled. You are correct in your assumption that the cues are set to Pre-Load... The problem that I was finding was that the cues were taking longer to trigger when Pre-Load wasn't selected, so I've basically set all multi-channel cues to 'Pre-Load'. I'll email the sh...

URGENT: "Error !" Playing multiple linked (surround) cues
Hi all, Am getting an error when playing multiple linked cues that are 6mono WAV's played back to create a surround effect. There is one of these that runs for about 2 mins constantly, and 3 other surround effects that play over the top (also 6mono WAV linked cues). The Tech rehearsal was fine, but ...

Re: Run Time Error 0 and Error -2147220991
It will help Mike when he comes online if you state the version of SCS you are using and the OS. Meanwhile it might be worth trying a complete re-install of SCS, as it might have become corrupted in some way. Malcolm Sorry, I meant to put that in the edit but forgot! Am using SCS 10.3.1, on XP SP3.

Run Time Error 0 and Error -2147220991 (fix in 10.3.2)
Hi Mike, I'm trying to adjust the level of a Playlist with a Level Change Cue, but when I adjust the level in the Level Change Cue, although the yellow sliders move to the new position, when I click off, and then click back onto that cue the faders are back at the start position. Basically, it will ...
