"Cancel Repeat" Cue is a great function for ...
I mainly use SCS for theater. "Cancel Repeat" Cue is a great function that can be very useful when music starts during a scene and must end (without fading) at the end of the scene, or at a special moment. As theater is a live show, and live actors are not "Timecoded" as they would be during the pos...

SCS sending Cues to QLAB and playing videos to another VP
"Head in the Stars" is a play that is currently being played in Paris (FRANCE) at the Théâtre de la Gaîté Montparnasse. The action takes place in a space shuttle. The piece begins with a video of the newscast broadcast by a projector on the balcony, then the curtain opens on the inside of the Space ...

Re: Jump to next/last track buttons
The best way to have quick shortcuts "Jump to next, Go Back, is using a midi keyboard or midi controller (I use a Korg Nanopad2 which is very small, useful and affordable (60$)). Then - Go to Editor/Production Properties/Cue Control. - Enable Cue from these interfaces (don't forget to check Midi IN ...

Awful 'Double GO' and 'Exclusive Cues' (to prevent it)
The obsession of all sound technicians, is the double "GO". I mean pressing twice, unintentionally on the "GO" button. Sometimes it does not matter, sometimes it can be horrible, especially in the case of fast dialogues. (Two voices of the same person that overlap, it's awful !!!) SCS philosophy is ...

Stopwatch using F1,F2,F3 Hotkeys
Here joined a small Stopwatch SCS session (for beginners), that works with F1,F2,F3 Hotkeys.
You can integrate it into all your SCS sessions.
It works with the 'Production Timer Actions' combined with 'Hotkey function' (that I love !!)
Enjoy it

'Stopwatch cue' & 'Level change for all playing cues '
Mike, I have 2 suggestions for SCS : First one has been suggested by a theater sound technician I know. He'd love to have a 'stopwatch cue' function. In theaters in France, main technician calculates every night the duration of the show (it is interesting for actors to know if they were speeder or s...

Re: SoundForge markers and SCS loops
In SF, just press 'M' key, marker will appear at cursor's position. You can rename it by right clicking on the top of the marker line. When you save your sound as a .wav file, markers and regions are automatically saved in the wav file in the header or the file (this is a specification in Microsoft ...

SoundForge markers and SCS loops
Working with both SoundForge Sony audio editor and SCS is very useful for editing loops. In SoundForge you can easily edit and listen to the loops (Shortcut='Q'). You can put some markers at begining and at the end of your loop, any place you need to mark (Shortcut='M'). Then Save your file. When yo...

'Note' cues that 'jump' automatically
I just noticed that you can set 'Note' Cues in 'Auto start' mode (in Edit page/Activation (how the cue is started)).
So when you play your cues, on main page, when cursor comes to the 'Note cue', it jumps over the note automatically.
Great ...!!!

SCS and 100% computer crash safe solutions (via rs232 contr
Mike, These 2 past months, I spent much time using SCS. I noticed several things and tried to find solutions as well: About beeing 100% computer crash safe (for big productions), i thought and did some experiments to find some solutions. Here are the 2 solutions i advocate: Solution 1 : (That's what...
