Mike, I am having the same problem with skipping and repeating cues. It is verry frustrating since I can not reproduce the problem. Decided to go the big guns and bought a Firepod -- works great.

I will answer my own question. The firepod works great with SCS. All 10 appear addressable (1-8 analog and I have not tested the SPIDF out yet)

The problem may lie in the power supply, not the laptop. You may want to try a different power supply such as the iGO and see if that solves the problem. There was a discusion about this on the Theater Sound mail-list -- problems with "cheap" power supplies.

You aren't by any chance doing "The Beams are Creaking" The situation you describe is alost exactly the opening scene in this play!!
