I'm still curious to know what is happening here, but it has become academic now. I installed Windows XP, and the Midi controller works fine. I will go into the theater again on the weekend and try it on the lighting board, but I don't expect any problems.

I am now running my second show on SCS 8, and I am very pleased with the results. We have a lot of linked and/or overlapped cues, including hot keys, and they run very well. I have just had exactly the same experience with this error message. I loaded the tool perfectly on my desktop, but when I try and put it on the laptop I get this error. Both bass.dll and basswma.dll are in the correct directory, DirectX 7 is installed, Windows Media Player is installed. But I can't...
