Screen monkey is worth a look, integrates well with SCS via midi cues. Doesn`t do fancy video cross fades, but does allow
flash, jpg, ppt, avi etc to be triggered on cue.
I have now used it for a couple of shows, and find it works well.

Re: Hold Button?
Mike,
That sounds perfect, the only suggestion I could add is to make it available as a keyboard shortcut as well (like stop all is on esc) as it seems most people trigger from the keyboard so would have a hand on it in the event of a miss cue.
Thanks

Re: possible bug in 9.5.2?
Interesting, I am running under XP if that is likely to make a difference.
May be just one of those things, will try the scs file on a different PC and see what happens.

Re: Hold Button?
RobK, I would suggest you use the spacebar for cue firing and not rely on a mount click -- especially if you're using a touchpad for the mouse! ... that sounds way too error-prone. Better yet, get one of the new Dell keyboards with the huge spacebar. That's what I have, and they cost $10-15. You ca...

Re: Hold Button?
Could I just clarify something here, RobK? You mentioned that you "clicked early on the fade out button." So this was a case of clicking on the transport control's fade out button, and it wasn't a separate SFR cue that you activated early? Yes in this instance it was the transport control (the cues...

It seems that when using midi sub cues the second (and subsequent times) you go into editor and look at a midi cue you get the dreaded sub script out of range error, and (i think) the note value is not displayed) Is this happening for others? Edits are correctly saved, just the error on display. RobK

Re: Hold Button?
Mike, I ended up ruining a near perfect run last night, as the laptop i was using clicked early on the fade out button. (Sweaty fingers on a touchpad) If there was a hold fades button or something similar it would save the opp in this condition. yes the level would drop slightly, but there is nothin...

The fade time issue came from the fact that most of the equipment I am using is very low end. One device outputs levels directly to dimmers via a midi note on command, the lighting desk allows all faders to be "moved" via midi, but doesn`t really have a proper scene recall. So I can trigger blackout...

MIDI Triggering of Lighting
I am about to run my first show with SCS, and my inital thoughts are great bit of software. As long as the computer does`t crash our january panto should be much easier. I am looking at trying to control my behringer LC2412 lighting desk and a midi to voltage card to control colour scrollers. Curren...
