I just bought a netbook and i am looking for a recomendation on a usb2 device with 8 to 12 outputs to use for sound effects. does anyone have good experience with something in this line. i am currently using firewire but the mini's don't have a firewire output. while i'm at it, is ther a way around ...

It would be nice to have a 4th option. each time you press the hot key the sound file fires from the begining while alowing the previous sound to play out. would be great for gun shots and thunder to overlap the same sound effect. I just finished a show that i had a helicopter fade in and fade out and that worked easy enough, but i tried to add a cue that would pan to the left and auto start from the begining of the fade cue. the pan worked in the editor window but would not work out of the editor. i had the fade time set to ...

Has anyone been using scs on any mini computers sucessfully? i see these HP Mini's with Windows XP Home, Intel Atom processor N270, 512MB memory, 16GB solid state drive for 300 bucks and thought it would be nice to build on my home or laptops and port it to one of these to save on table space etc. b...
