Re: SCSremote
Hi Simon, The idea of this remote is extremely appealing . . . well done for developing it. I only want to acquire a tablet for this purpose and, as I don't have much knowledge of Android tablets, am wondering if the specs of the PROTAB Android 5.1 Google Play 8Gb Tablet PT51M7BLU (on eBay) would be...

'Replace With' command
Hi Mike, The Import Cues feature is a really useful one but has shortcomings in certain circumstances. For instance . . . If you're importing a cue that is eventually going to replace another one that already has other cues referring to it, you have to alter all those other cues one by one. These ar...

Re: Manual Sub-Cues
Hi Sean, I've just come across this topic so you may have resolved it by now but I did have this thought. Depending on the amount of different Cues you require you could consider using Hot Keys, whereby a MIDI message/s for each command would be assigned a Hot Key. The Hot Keys could then be used ma...

Re: Selecting audio output for video files
Hi Rob . . .
If you are already using Audio Cues in your show I suggest that you extract the audio from your video as a .wav file and run it as an Audio Sub-Cue of the Video Cue. You can then output that audio to the relevant output/s on your audio i/f . . . .

Re: iPad client?
I imagine that a properly constructed app, with similar screens to the original, would be popular with a lot of SCS users. I am no software writer and so I've been experimenting with programs such as iTelePort and although I've had some moderate success I think it's a bit bodgy and not reliable enou...

Re: Midi Time Code
Mmmmm! . . . In view of the fact that there are many ways to control external devices, like lighting consoles etc., the addition of MTC in SCS 11 sounds very interesting, Mike . . . it will give users an alternative option to using MIDI messages or a MIDI file. I also hadn't realised that SoundMan-S...

Re: Hard Drive latency/Sound Card questions for newbie!
Yup! . . . that's what I meant . . probably wasn't too clear with my reply . .I'm assuming I can download the licensed version (which, I'm guessing is a zip file) to my home computer and then transfer that zip file to the laptop and install as normal?

Re: Hard Drive latency/Sound Card questions for newbie!
Congratulations on your SCS purchase and welcome to the fold . . . you've probably realised by now that there's a lot of really good people on the forum with a heap of experience with the product, and of course Mike is always there when the going gets tough! I will download the files to my home comp...

Hi TheSpyHusband . . and welcome to the fold!
There's a thread on this subject at http://www.showcuesystems.com/forum/vie ... ?f=1&t=958 that you might find useful. With regards to using jack plugs I think you'll find that any decent sound card has TRS balanced jacks.

Re: Black frame when video starts
Mike: That's an excellent tip . . something I hadn't realised before . . will give it a go! David: As you said, in theory you could produce one video and use SFR cues to control it throughout the show. However, I would be wary of doing that as you would have a problem finding your position in the vi...

Hi Mike . . .
Have just run the trace version and the issue re the above seems to be solved . . . I'm not getting the error in the scenerio I described. Hopefully the fix will solve LadyEmilyHall's problem too!

Re: SCS Program crash when loading new cue file
Actually, I can recreate this same error but in a different scenerio. If I start SCS with one Cue File and then 'Open' another one I will often get this error. I can clear it pretty quickly by clicking 'Yes' several times . . . the ammount of times seems to depend on the Cue File size. Although it d...

Re: Newbie to SCS
Hi Paul, As Mike mentioned earlier I'm running shows with a very similar format to you. There are many different ways to 'kill birds with stones' when it comes to the operation of SCS. I actually tend to use auto-start cues a fair bit as I find it easier when it comes to editing a show. For instance...

Importing Cues from another SCS Cue File
I seem to recall that this may have been discussed before but here goes anyway. The type of productions I'm mostly involved with are musical productions which consist of lists of songs. For shows that are constantly changing their running orders it's quite convenient to first create a Cue File calle...
