Re: Collect *SOME* Production Files
A GUI option to collect into the current show directory (with a confirmation question) would be a way of doing this - if the target directory is the same as the current directory and a file already exists then the copy of that file would be skipped. Currently it won't let you do that. Or a "collect ...

Re: Random repeat
Thanks, I've had a look. I need to look in more detail to see if it can be command line driven and if I can use an SCS "run external program cue " to spawn the new process and pass the command line to it with all the parameters (or if the setting can be saved). The only user interface the operators ...

Random repeat
Hi, I have a requirement to fire a number of cues at random intervals over a period of about 20 minutes. I can do this using a few hotkeys, with the operator acting as a random number generator. :) I'd like to suggest a new cue activation type - "Random repeat". The sequence would be started by one ...

Re: Quick query on audio files in multiple cues
I will once I've programmed the show! First tech meeting this week, it'll be a few weeks after that I have a show file ready.

Re: Quick query on audio files in multiple cues
Pretty much - don't know where the "queue" came from, I typed "cue"! Let me be more specific: I have a 1 hour audio file cue running with a loop to provide a background. Also in that same file, outside the area looped in the first cue, are a number of sections that I want to use for spot effects dro...

Quick query on audio files in multiple cues
Hi,
If I have multiple audio file queues playing different parts of the same audio file at different times, is the file only loaded into memory once?
Thanks,

[Fix 11.10.3] Stop All PLaying Cues subcue does not stop earlier subcues
I have a 3 part cue - sub-cue 1 plays an mp3 file, sub-cue 2 adds another mp3 file 1.00 minute after the start of the cue and then sub-cue 3 is a "stop all playing cues" 40 seconds after the start of sub-cue 2. All the subcues fire on schedule but Sub-cue 3 does not stop the two playing sub-cues. SC...

Re: "Group" fader in a cue with audio file subcues
Phil, Tried your first suggestion (had to use the BASS mixer to see the faders of course) and it works fine if there are only a few multi-subcue cues, so thanks for that. I just created another one for a storm, which has 4 subcues running simultaneously - so had to add a new device. The problem with...

Re: "Group" fader in a cue with audio file subcues
Hi Phil, Thanks for those suggestions and for your suggestion in the next post. It would certainly be useful but that's not really what I want to achieve. I'm not looking to change the overall level of a bunch of sub-cues under cue control, rather I want to do it once in the editor during the tech r...

Re: "Group" fader in a cue with audio file subcues
Yes, I could do it that way, but that would need more output devices than I have available -- only 2 channels at the usual venue, 4 if I use the headphone output of the laptop (yuk). Unfortunately there are no Win10 or 11 drivers for my Tascam US122. If I was using my X32 then it would work very wel...

Re: "Group" fader in a cue with audio file subcues
PS: Would also need a level change cue to be able to be applied to the cue master so that all sub-cues in that cue can be faded up or down together maintaining relative level. Again this is a very common requirement - a composite cue providing background atmosphere to establish a scene, which then n...

"Group" fader in a cue with audio file subcues
I very often have to change the level of a complex cue made up of multiple audio file sub-cues - sometimes up to 10 or even more running simultaneously. It takes a long time to get the relative levels of each sub-cue just so when building the cue file away from the theatre, but when I get to the ven...

Re: Auto ducking of a playing cue
That's pretty much how I do it now, only I put the cues into the normal stack, rather than use hotkeys - sometimes whoever is operating lights also does sound but they are not familiar with SCS so needs to be nearly foolproof - just hit the "go" button as they do with the lighting cues. We normally ...

Auto ducking of a playing cue
In every show I do, I have a need to make announcements whilst music is playing. It would be great to have a feature that enabled me to duck and restore a playing cue when another cue is played, with the level returning when that second cue ends. I'd see it a an added feature of Audio File cues : Cu...

Many thanks, mostly works fine, I've emailed you about the mute groups.
