Is there a secret to DMX In AND Out or is this a bug?

Running 11.10.7 I've backed myself into a corner thinking that SCS could both read incoming DMX and take action as well as output DMX. Monitoring and responding to incoming DMX has been working great for the past two weeks. Today, when I added a DMX IN device (needed for controlling just a single ch...

Audio File Cue Triggered via “DMX In” Skips First Few Milliseconds on First Use

Today was my first try at triggering audio cues via "DMX In". It was easy to setup and worked (sort of) on first attempt. But I couldn’t hear the first few milliseconds of the audio cue on first playback. The remainder was heard fine. I immediately triggered the cue a second time and the full audio ...

Re: [Mod 11.10.5] Cue List Double-Click Options

Thanks so much. I loaded 11.10.5 today and in Performance mode the double-click is ignored. Big win for anyone routinely introducing kids to the product. I was on 11.10.2 which I thought was still current. Got caught a little off guard by how fast the software upgrades. Thanks a million!

[Mod 11.10.5] Cue List Double-Click Options

Our local middle school shows are generally “Junior” musicals using track-playback. When we use my SCS laptop for rehearsals and shows the students and teachers approach it as if it where a typical Windows Media Player interface. They’ll need to jump around in the cue list during rehearsals so they ...

Re: SoundMan-Server Sound to Light

Dave, If this is still a goal of yours, I'd like to recommend a tool that another member recommended to me recently: https://github.com/ETCLabs/Sound2Light It's a quirky tool - I can't believe ETC put their name on it - but it's working great for my simple needs. It's specifically built to feed comm...

Re: Sound-To-Light

Just a quick update - this is horribly quirky piece of unfinished software, I can't believe that ETC allows their name to remain on it, but I did get it to work. It's designed to communicate with ETC lighting consoles but it does offer a Custom output that allows you to adjust the command set to wor...

Re: Sound-To-Light

Thanks so much. This looks like a bit of over-kill but if I can get it to work it would solve the problem. I never would have stumbled onto this. Thanks so much.

Sound-To-Light

This is pretty far off topic but does anyone know of a device that will input audio and output a MIDI note or command in response? Our school board bought the theater program a mixing console with no MIDI capability. Previously, the old mixer could send a MIDI command every time the mixer changed "s...

Re: [In 11.9.6] Minimum cue list window height

SCS is great and I typically use it in one way or another at almost every school and community show I run tech for. And I appreciate how open you are to new features. Speaking of which . . . . As discussed above, at one time on the Main Page it was possible to use the Splitter Bar to slide the Cue P...
