Re: minor niceties
while plotting a show running at over 200 cues it gets very boring very quickly having to click around to find a placeholder each time I want to add a blank cue - and confusing for the thought process seeing a file name/description where there isn't a file even if it is something like "blank"! looks...

Re: minor niceties
...while windows won't allow a * in a file name, i see your point- BUT when I arrange the files by date modified a prefix such as "~" or "01" still isn't going to send it to the top of the list in the browser window. I arrange the files by date modified because I am regularly adding cues to scs over...

Re: minor niceties
It just seems like such an awkward workaround, to have to create a place holder file that is silent, and have to search through the show folder each time to find it every time i want to create a new cue (without the actual audio file on hand). Even if i titled it "01 - silent" it wouldn't necessaril...

minor niceties
a couple of minor things that would lovely, i've mentioned before that it would be nicer if when creating a new audio cue it didn't force you to give it a name/or assign it an audio file before you do anything else. i know this avoids having cues that do nothing, but i do find myself jumping around ...

Re: supported audio devices
i swear by the firebox, so far its the only audio interface that i've encountered that presents multiple outputs with the wdm drivers (ie. not using the internal mixer - something i prefer to do, having encountered frequent audio glitches while using the internal mixer/asio drivers on 3 separate mac...

Re: Problem with SCS 10.4.1 working with a Focusrite Saffire LE
what was the conclusion to this issue?
having the same problem with a saffire 24
can't disable the internal mixer as i usually would because the drivers for the saffire won't show scs anything more than a left/right out (the saffire has 6 outputs).

load to point in cue
hi mike, i was using qlab last week and while still more awkward and frustrating to use than scs it does have a neat feature where you can load up to a point in a cue. for example if you have a whole bunch of fade cues that autostart a set time after the beginning of a cue you could load up to a poi...

Re: On the fly audio level change
that would be a really great feature mike, i find myself wanting to do that a lot (saving the level of the fade down cue)
perhaps in the save settings drop down it could have an option to save levels to original cue, or to fade cue

touring system
I have been idly toying with the idea of creating a dedicated show cue system for touring. Now my ideal scenario is a rack on wheels with 2x rack mounted pc's networked together, each with their own rackmounted soundcard (8+ outputs), both running the show in parallel, so switching between them woul...

Re: SCS plans for 2010
i would love keyboard shortcuts in the editor for adding new cues, eg. Ctrl+A for new audio cue, Ctrl+F for new fade cue, etc

And I wonder if it is the same issue that Mike explains in this topic

Re: vista and m audio fast track ultra ? help please!
Worth adding GIl that we tried disabling the internal mixer - but then we lost the multiple outputs on the sound card (everything would just route out the L/R)

Re: blank audio cues
Because then instead of just swapping out the audio file when I got the correct file I would have to create a new audio cue, with the same numbering as the note file and then delete the note cue, seems like more hassle rather than less hassle to me!

Re: EQ on sound files
i'm sceptical of adding effects to the program, especially vsts where there is no certification, or guarantee of functionality. SCS's primary function is as a reliable a sound cue playback source, and vst's add the potential for instablity- mike can't check if the hundreds of vsts out there will wor...
