Re: video issue... H.264

You could try 10.7.6 which has just been released. As well as containing a new video DLL, there is now a Troubleshooting section in the SCS Help. The "Video Problems" topic describes the differences between the video playback options, and also includes tips on resolving playback issues. That's grea...

Re: video issue... H.264

Note: I just tried the WMP video playback option, and that definitely did NOT work at all... :) It crashed hard.

Re: video issue... H.264

Your replies have been MOST helpful. I will continue to experiment with this. Reducing my pre-open to 2. Is there a difference between Direct Show and WMP? I apologize for my ignorance... I'm not well-versed in digital video, and this is a relatively new-to-me application for SCS... (displaying movi...

video issue... H.264

I'm having an issue, and I'm not sure if it's me or not. I've searched this forum for an answer to no avail, so I'll pose the question here. I've used SCS quite a bit, but haven't really pushed it's video capabilities till now, and I'm having some problems. I have 5 videos that I want to string back...

SCS on my laptop

I have a quick question, and if the answer is posted somewhere else here on the board, I apologize. I'm still doing the research, and this is one of the first places I've looked. I want to run SCS on my laptop for rehearsals (I run it off my full rig for performances, but our rehearsals happen at va...

Re: audigy and surround sound

Just bought an audigy 2 and a set of 7.1 speakers and am having problems with it. We bought the standard version of SCS for the last show, and it went well with standard stereo output. I'm trying now to get it to use the different speakers and am having no luck. I've set the checkboxes in the audio...

There are three settings that must all be set correctly for the Audigy to work. These are: http://www.soundcuesystem.com/scrapbook/SBLiveSettings.gif Do you have all three of these set as above? Yeah, we got that alright. I'll fidget with it some more. Worse comes to worse, we run all the sound out...

If you look at version 9.1.6a under "Recent Changes" on this website (and the SCS helpfile) you will see that, in addition to selecting "Do NOT use floating point for audio channels", you should clear "Force enabling of speaker assignments", which is selected as the default. If you have done both a...

Audigy 5.1

I'm currently searching for help on this board, but I will pose the question and maybe someone can provide insight I haven't found yet. I am currently running SCS 9.1.6a (After finding 9.2.7 just too unstable to rely on). 916a seems stable and has everything I need for this particular show. However,...

Hi Dave, That's a good question - and the thing that takes the longest to explain to new users here (given the program is so easy to use!). It is also one of the most useful features of SCS. That makes perfect sense! Thanks! I was under the misunderstanding that a subcue was a cue that could be set...

Cues and Subcues

Hi. I'm currently enjoying learning and using Sound Cue system. (I've found some instabilities with SCS 9.2.x, so for our production I'm going with 9.1.6a until things have been ironed out) However, my question is: After reading the help files and tutorials etc... I'm still at a bit of a loss to und...
