Re: Question regarding MOTU ASIO drivers...
Hey guys, Just thought I'd chime in and say that I experience this exact same issue. I have the original Ultralite. I can affirm, that every input and output (including the headphone out) are discrete on the Ultralite...there is no sharing. I believe that the problem lies in the Motu ASIO driver. Mi...

I have found a couple issues with laptop audio... The most frustrating was a laptop (I think an HP) which output analog audio but had a very distinct "digital" signal noise underneath. If you have ever heard a raw digital bitstream you know what I am talking about! We tried everything, DIs w/ ground...

Popping Sound
Mike, In addition to the Speed Stepping solution mentioned above, check that all power management is disabled. I have a Motu Ultralite which runs over firewire, and some power management features will cause it to crackle for a period of time (in particular, hard drives entering/resuming from standby...

A few feature requests (part in 10.1.0)
Hello All, the following is a list of suggestions that I have already emailed to Mike, and am now posting on the forum so he can get other folks' take on them. 1. Clock Display: a simple window in SCS that would show a large version of the current time. 2. Play-List Cues: more specifically, the abil...

Color Schemes (in 10.1.0)
Hi Mike,
As a part of the color schemes window, it would be great if we could change the medium-gray background of SCS to some other color (namely: black). This would help cut down on the monitor glare and "technician illumination" in situations where the playback unit is in the house.
Thanks!

RAM Size
Hi Mike, On a PC with limited RAM (384MB), would there be any advantage to using compressed formats such as WMA instead of WAV? I assume that SCS buffers a large portion of the tracks into RAM while in standby, and then streams them directly from RAM during playback. I am about to use SCS in a "revu...

Read only files
Hello,
After completing all editing in SCS, is it viable to set the .scs show file, and all target wav files, to "read only" attributes in windows?
Thanks
