Show Cue System

I've noticed on the current show I'm working on SCS has started to become sluggish and slow. Sometimes in playing back cues, cause clicking and delayed cueing, but mostly when pressing 'stop all' the the cue list will 'hang' for a few seconds then flip up the editor window . Yeah I'm trying to save when the 'End' cue is selected in the cue list (so everything is 'Completed') and it's still an issue. The editor window is also closed.

I was going past the cue in the cuelist but not closing the editor. However closing the editor still doesn't seem to resolve the problem and the 'Status' reads as 'Completed' but I still get the 'File in use by another application' prompt in Audition. Any other ideas?

As I'm bulding cues I often want to change the .wav in some way. I open Audition, make the alteration and then try to save. When I was looking to put a touring SCS system together I was a little unsure about which Laptop / Audio interface to spec'. So for the information of future users the combination of a 'Toshiba Tectra A4' (as per minimum SCS spec') and an 'Edriol UA101' (USB) audio interface worked extremley well.
