Random occasional auto-start failure (11.4.2.1)

Occasionally, an auto-start sound cue will simply fail to fire. It may play fine the next time and the next, but eventually it will fail again. It doesn't seem to matter if it's an "after start of" or "before end of", etc. cue. This problem has occurred randomly for several years, but it happens rar...

Re: Font-scaling Issues on Higher-Resolution Monitors

Thanks for the reply.

After all that, I solved the problem. In VMWare Fusion, there's an option under Settings > Display to turn off the full resolution of the Retina display while using Fusion. That brought everything back to the proportions I was used to.

But thanks for reaching out, Mike.

[Fix11.5.2]Font-scaling Issues on Higher-Resolution Monitors

Hi folks. I've seen prior discussions about font size on the forum, but it didn't seem like there was a solid resolution, so I'm checking in. I recently went all-Mac for my sound design and music work, but I am still devoted to SCS. Even QLab doesn't come close, IMO. But rather than go the BootCamp ...

Any 2-in-1 (laptop/tablet) recommendations?

Hi folks. I've gone all Mac in my home studio, but I'm unwilling to abandon SCS for QLab, since I've been a supporter of SCS for nearly a decade, and learning a new program like that is agonizingly slow for me. So I'm looking at some 2-in-1's as possible systems to run shows with, but I'm just not c...

Exporting Midi Control Settings

I'm currently working on a show in which I will be using my small Akai USB keyboard to play some of the cues (specifically, keys assigned to trigger a number of different sounds depending on what the actors do on stage). I've only used the MIDI control feature once, and that was a couple of years ag...

Re: Memo Cue Box Size

Um, actually, I don't get the same memo cue panel in the editor that's shown in the Help file. Mine doesn't have the brown border or the display time field or the Preview/Set Memo Size button at the bottom. Is there something in the Options I need to tick?

[Done] Memo Cue Box Size

Hi! I have a favorite new feature: the Memo Cue. In this case, as the person who usually makes the opening announcements on the shows I'm involved it, it's a godsend. I just have a memo with the text of the announcement pop up when the house music goes down and close when I run the Act 1 intro music...

Re: Triggering simultaneous files

So, just to follow up, I redid everything: I re-rendered the tracks, making sure they were all the exact same length I made the first track a primary cue, with the rest as sub-cues I saved, quit, and restarted the program I quit and restarted several times to confirm And it worked perfectly. Thank y...

Triggering simultaneous files

I'm working on a production of "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead" that's coming up next week. If you're familiar with the show, there's a sequence in the third act where the main characters are trying to find the source of some music, played by different instruments, which are layered one on anot...

SCS and Crossover for OSX

Has anyone done extensive work running SCS using Crossover on a Mac? I just played around with it for a little while today and it works pretty well, after a fashion. Lots of error boxes, but if you click past those, it seems to run okay. Would definitely benefit from actual development by the Crosso...

Loop clicks and zero points

Hi folks! I've been using SCS for stage theater and live radio drama for about 6 years now and I've sung praises of its versatility and low cost to everyone who will listen. But there's one issue that I've never been able to fix to my satisfaction: looping. It seems like no matter what I do, no matt...

Mixer panel?

One thing I would love to see is an optional mixer panel that shows faders for each channel of your output. For example, I normally use an 8-channel (4 stereo outputs) interface and run it through a mixing board, riding the sliders for each channel manually during the show. But I could eliminate the...

Re: Compatibility with Alesis io26

Thanks, Martin! That's just what it was. I like the Alesis so far, though I haven't had the opportunity to use it for its intended purpose, which is to record voices for audio drama. I've done single track recording and the quality has been great, but the real test will be recording 8 tracks at once...
