Renumbering when copying range of cues
When copying a range of cues I have found that when I wish to renumber the copied range I cannot get decimal points in the number range, as can be done when using the basic renumber cue function. ie. New cue number for the first copied cue 20.1 Increment = 1 Result: 21, 22, 23 etc when I wish it to ...

Re: Audio playback issue
Thanks for the reply Mike. Yes I originally tried various settings with no success. Yesterday I returned to the the theatre to find that all was fine, so I am scratching my head. The PC was donated by a university as redundant equipment, I believe it could be nearly 15 years old, so it is going to b...

Audio playback issue
I have just upgraded our PC from Windows 7 to 10. With Windows 7, SCS Pro was getting along fine, however, when playing back any audio now, massive clicks and pops are heard nearly constantly. All audio files are affected, irrespective of level. I am using a Behringer X32 rack audio mixer using the ...

Re: SCS midi questions
Hi Mike, This is a copy of the PM sent. Further to the forum post, I have conducted a quick experiment on SCS, firstly sending a number of midi control cues that send at the same time (next cue at the start of the previous cue) and secondly sending sequentially (next cue at the end of the previous c...

SCS midi questions
I am using an 8 channel midi relay board to control various devices in the theatre using SCS. Frequently I want those devices to be activated at the same tie. My question is that when I program control cues to send midi notes at the same time (an auto cue, at the start of the previous cue), in that ...

Re: SCS controlling lighting console
Thanks for your reply Mike and for your diligence in keeping this excellent product current.
I am not quite at the stage of purchase of the console and will wait for any progress with Art-Net in a future version.

Geoff.

SCS controlling lighting console
I am currently controlling a LSC Maxim lighting console from SCS using MIDI commands, which works fine. I am planning to upgrade the lighting console and am looking at a FLX S48 which can be networked using Art-net and sCAN protocols only. From reading the SCS documentation I understand that these a...

Re: Lightfactory Telnet commands
Further to my post, I have found that Telnet commands are easier than I thought, I was getting confused with brackets etc, simply type go in SCS to advance the cue in LF, problem solved, I was over thinking the issue.

Geoff

Lightfactory Telnet commands
I wish to control Lightfactory from SCS on the same PC using telnet commands. I have established connection between the 2 programs and am able to see text arriving in LF from SCS. However I don't know the correct syntax for those commands to control the cue, ie, stepping forward and back etc. and am...

Re: DMX controlled Projector Shutter
Hi, Have no experience with these, however I made a very effective projector shutter from an old optical drive. Using reverse voltage to open / close, choice of DC voltage determines speed. It's mounted on a bracket on the front of the projector. Gaffer tape to cover up the hole in the drive. I have...

Popping sound
Hi all. I need some help. I am running Showcue into a Behringer X32 rack mixer through its X-USB card, 4 x stereo channels. All has been running fine for years. For the first time in a show I am attempting to have a rain sound effect at low level playing in the background for a considerable time. Ho...

[In 11.7.0] Renumber Cues fields
Hi Mike, I don't know if it has been suggested before but could the values "new cue number for the first cue..." and "renumbering increment" in the "renumber cues" panel remain populated after entering them in, so when re-numbering is required which can happen frequently in the same session, those v...

Re: Using a usb hub with Showcue
I haven't gone into the DMX features in Showcue yet, they may suffice, but Lightfactory is fully featured, ideal for LED and analogue lighting fixtures. Thanks for the input, I will of course fully test the system, it is only being used in this configuration on a laptop if the main PC fails. regards...

Using a usb hub with Showcue
Hi all, I am considering using a 4 port usb self powered hub off a standby laptop to run Showcue, audio to a Behringer X32 XUSB card, also a Roland UM-one Midi interface, and also Lightfactory with a USB Enttec DMX interface. Has anyone used a hub for this or similar, are there any known issues with...

Re: Plane fly over, how to do?
Thank you all for your suggestions. I achieved a great result using multiple sound files triggered at the same time but I will take on board your methods for next time.
cheers
Geoff.
