I have a hot key (q) defined to quickly fade out and terminate the current cue. So in cases like this I can hit it and smoothly stop the exclusive cue, assuming it is currently active. But the override feature also sounds great.

I will try it with other programs, I suspect it is the USB X-UF driver , and perhaps its interaction with the actual USB chip, and that is probably somewhat particular to this machine. OK, I tried out the same laptop with a FocusRite Scarlett box using ASIO(BASS) drivers, and there is no problem.
