Re: Highlighting non-manual cues
I use text to make them visually different, e.g. in the "When required" field I use a prefix like " -" ; and one could also use a different cue name, elgl "__-100" or "..55" as a visual hint that this is an automatic cue. Rather than highlight manual cues perhaps only highlight a column or two (like...

Soundcraft SI Impact mixer
Has anyone used SCS with a Soundcraft Impact mixer. I will be using one of these (a rental, so I have no choice) in my next show. It has a USB sound interface, but no physical MIDI ports that I can see. The manual is not of much help. I either want to either recall scenes on the mixer from SCS , or ...

Re: ShowCueSystem and Behringer X32 Demo
Nice. In the past I've used a few hundred saved scenes in the X32, that has some advantages but many disadvantages. It is harder to "see" visually what all the settings in the X32 are for a hundred scenes. I typically have dumped a XML-like file and use Perl scripts to go through and modify them. In...

Re: alternative Shortcut Buttons
I use almost the same keypad for theatre work, where I have a script in front of me and a regular keyboard is too big. And I can hold the keypad in my lap, or put it on top of the script. I bought 2 of them for $5 each.

Re: Generate tone
Like a previous poster said, you can have a cue file with test tracks in it. I have pink and white noise that I use for speaker tests, amp adjustment, and finally room EQ. Most mixers can also generate test tones and sweeps, but some people don't use a mixer now that SCS is so functional. In which c...

Re: Behringer X32 with SCS
I use the X32 for theatre productions and I control it via my laptop with SCS. I use the MIDI control functions to GO to different saved scenes. The only thing I miss is the slow fade from older Behringer mixers, so fader levels move fast, but that is the X32 not SCS lack of feature. I have not yet ...

Re: Exclusive Cue Override
I have a hot key (q) defined to quickly fade out and terminate the current cue. So in cases like this I can hit it and smoothly stop the exclusive cue, assuming it is currently active. But the override feature also sounds great.

Re: garbled sound after disable WiFi
I will try it with other programs, I suspect it is the USB X-UF driver , and perhaps its interaction with the actual USB chip, and that is probably somewhat particular to this machine. So it may not be easy to reproduce. Anyway, now that I stop pushing the F2 button, I haven't had a problem. Thanks ...

Re: garbled sound after disable WiFi
I haven't compared them yet, but I did double the ASIO buffers for the X32 and no change in behavior, and then I got a BSOD (blue screen), so I'm reverting back to the default settings and not messing with it. The garbling is constant , so not likely a buffer overrun which tends to be intermittent. ...

Re: garbled sound after disable WiFi
OK, I tried out the same laptop with a FocusRite Scarlett box using ASIO(BASS) drivers, and there is no problem. So the bug must be something in the Behringer X-UF driver, unless anyone has other ideas. I might be able to see if I can reproduce it with a pgm other than SCS, e.g. just letting windows...

garbled sound after disable WiFi
I have been using SCS for a few years, and ran into a new problem during my current theatre show. I have a new Behringer X32 mixer that I connect to a Dell Inspiron laptop and send all the sound to it using ASIO drivers. Everything was working fine, but then all of a sudden I would get totally disto...

Re: Pause on specified video frame
can you capture the last frame of the video as a jpg image file and have it load 0 secs after the end of the video, then you can easily keep it up there and fade it etc.

Re: Custom Rackmount PC for SCS
I have tested a few computers, both laptops and desktop, with SCS. One issue to test out is USB noise interference (assuming you use a USB sound card). On one HP desktop computer there was noise when the USB disk was used, on another Dell desktop there was noise when I used the USB wireless ethernet...

live inputs and networked sound streams
I am thinking of buying a new mixer for our theatre productions, the Behringer X32. First, does anyone have experience with this mixer and/or with SCS. The great thing about new digital mixers is they can send/receive 32 channels of sound from the computer, meaning I can send 16 stereo tracks from S...

Re: Enhance "After start of cue" behavior
I have the same need - long audio cues (many minutes) with a timed sequence of events (midi sends and other tracks) auto-started based on the first track. One work-around I found was to change the auto-start from after-start to before-end, then they still work (as you pointed out). Although that is ...
