Re: Yet another Invalid memory address error
Ah ha! The setting the loop counter thing correlates to what I was doing pretty well. I don't think I was quite understanding how the new loop settings worked and that may have provoked the error, perhaps not at that instant, but shortly thereafter. I will check my file and see how that one loop is ...

[Fix 11.8.2.2] Yet another Invalid memory address error
This might not be a bug report because it might be a mis-configuration error, one never knows about such things. This is the error message: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CIzICDG-FZ4FzprLFbyFm2AEeSOdbQ-8/view As per usual, I had this happen twice at times during final dress where I could not take ...

[Resolved] Screen Number at top of second (projector) screen?
RESOLVED Changed video playback library to TVideoGrabber (TVG) leaving Video Renderer as Auto Select and the bar disappeared. I am setting up a show that will run some still x-faded images at the top of the show, act two and finale. We don't have our projector set up yet so I have a monitor connect...

Best choice for video codec?
As some of us live in cross-platform worlds (Mac/PC) and create video on or receive video from a Mac to play on SCS, the question arises "What is the best video codec to use when creating video for SCS playback on a PC?". I have no trouble (so far) with any of the MOV or MP4 files I have gotten or c...

[Done] Export a cue list/sheet (for the stage manager)
Some theatres I work in require me to submit a cue list for the stage manager. It would be great to be able to export a csv file that I could read into Excel or something and format nicely for submission. I know that QLab (last time I checked) can't do this without leaping through some firey hoops. ...

Re: supported audio devices
Behringer FCA610 -- I can second that. Got mine gently used on Amazon for ~$160. The drivers are hard to find on the Behringer page but I found and installed them. Running under Win7 on a Dell M65 with (only) 2GB of memory without issues. When one of the tech people at the Arts Center where we produ...

Re: Strange fix for pops in USB audio output
The Link.USB comes with an ASIO driver but it's old, for XP and when I use it, I cannot use the laptop headphone output.
Time to replace the box with something more modern I think. Or reformat the laptop as XP (and never connect it to a network).
Cheers,

Re: Strange fix for pops in USB audio output
Mike, thanks for the quick reply. No doubt, the M65 is a nifty machine but Dell has not published ANY Windows 7 drivers for it because it's an obsolete machine. For that reason, I suspect there is an issue with the USB ports. I tried all of them and they all glitched. Adding the unpowered USB 2.0 hu...

Strange fix for pops in USB audio output
I have used SCS for several years now at several theatres and with lots of different computers and many kinds of output devices (either headphone outputs or low-end USB however). My main output box has always been a Tapco/Mackie Link.USB 2x2 device and it has never given me problems before. For a pr...

Re: supported audio devices
Mike-- As much as I might fantasize about a Mac version of SCS, I would much rather have you spend your time on the PC version because it's so good (and getting better) and the ubiquity of the PC will not diminish in the near future. The USB 5.1 and 7.1 audio devices seem mostly to be based on the C...

Re: supported audio devices
Let's just say that I've had Windows crash during a show more than once but OS X has never let me down. Now that I think of it, I've never had Windows crash during a show running under Parallels -- probably because I keep under tight control. But a discussion of operating systems is not what we're h...

Re: supported audio devices
First of all, let me second the request for an OS X version of SCS. I just did a show in a church and their sound computer was a nice new iMac. I installed the free version of QLab and it was great. The free version is limited to two channels, so it's not really a solution for most of my work. I run...

Re: iPad client?
OK people, we need to talk about this. I am on the verge of creating a system using an iPhone/iPad to send commands to either the computer running SCS or to a box connected to both the computer running SCS and the lightboard via Midi. The "box" might consist of a hacked wifi access point and an Ardu...

Re: multichannel USB or PCI audio outputs??
The Gigaport HD seems to be the thing I have been looking for: 8 independent outputs configurable as 44.1kHz with 16-bit and 8 channels, 44.1kHz with 24-bit and 6 channels, 48kHz with 24-bit and 6 channels, 96kHz with 24-bit and 2 channels. US$119 pretty much everywhere (in the US) looks to be a ste...
