11.9. UI should be touch friendly
Mike, I would vote for a modern look with a touch friendly interface. As the trend is doing more and more per touch on screens and we just started with Waves SuperRack which gives an idea and works very nice I think it should be keep in mind. As the "GO" and "PAUSE" areas on top of SCS are touch fri...

Re: Play cue with "space" key in editor
Lluis,
there are already shortcuts for rewind, play/pause, stop (F4, F5 and F6) inside the Editor..
Space Bar I think is difficult as you wrote..... (text input/selected).

Re: Audio Graph Color Change of Playing Cue
- Maybe switch background to waveform color and waveform color to background inside the small window? - Another idea could be changing waveform color to a light reddish color (to see the slider as good as possible), or - introduce a new option to select your own 'playing waveform color' in the color...

Re: Triggering from user defined keys
Bill, you will have to buy a midi thru box like MIDI Solutions Quadra Thru V2 and feed the QL5 midi out into it. Then you need on each SCS machine a midi input (usb midi interfaces are available at low pice-(one cable solution like usb to midi in/out)). Connect one output of the thru box to the main...

Did you try 'TAB' after typing into text fields after adding values or numbers?

Re: More hotkeys?
@Mike: Sorry...you are right: switching banks by Shift+F1 to F8. Then I can use F1 to F12 per bank. But the device I posted uses Midi Commands so no key is used as a hotkey. You can stay with the common hotkeys on the keybard and use the 48 'midi' keys for special FX sounds. But yes, a common bank i...

Re: More hotkeys?
Hi, that's a nice idea. But it would make thinks more complicated even if I have to switch to the right bank on the right time!?! I think that would be only usefull if you mabe can switch at any time with for example F1 to F8 between eight banks and use maybe F1 to F12 as hotkeys per bank. So preloa...

Re: Pause and auto-start cues
p.s. Is there any way that markers in the WAV file can be used to trigger cues? Now that would be very nice as often cues are timed to certain beats and I find the time within a waveform editor. If I could just lay down a marker and use it...that would be sweet. Interesting idea! Feature request.[/...

Re: Enhance "After start of cue" behavior
I'm not so familiar with lightning desks…but I agree with you that there should always be a SM, lightning desk and sound operator. But sometimes I think automation has the right to exist. Last season we had a 12min ballet show. The sound cue runs from the beginning to the end and the lightning cues ...

Re: Enhance "After start of cue" behavior
Stas, same problems here with ballet productions where audio files up to 20 min are running, triggering the light board and with included level change cues. In rehearsals we often had to play only parts of it. It's no problem to trigger the lightning board and level cues if the audio files aren't to...

Re: Play tracks directly from CD's
Hi Mike! Jörg already pointed out some ways to solve your problems with scs. You can setup SCS to have a "big" time display which pops up at a given time before end (e.g. 30 sec, or display the whole time of a cue counting down or up). In combination with the "chime" sound 30 sec before end on a sep...

scs and files located an a fileserver
Hi! Has anyone experiences to use SCS and playing back audiofiles which are located at a file sever (smb/linux)? We do all editing and playback of the audio files during the rehearsals at/from a fileserver over 1GBit ethernet (~40-50MB read possible). Works very well....we bounce the tracks one rehe...
