Re: Removing / Skipping a SFR if cue it relates to is finished
The Hot Key SFR will only stop the Cue or Cues it is programed to stop. If you have five cues running at the same time and the Hot Key is set up to stop only the third one it stops only the third one. I know how SFR cues work, I've been using SCS for some time now. The hotkey method would have to b...

Re: missing cues when copy to clip board
Sounds like you just didn't click the check boxes for those cue types. They are not checked by default so it could easily be looked over.

Re: Removing / Skipping a SFR if cue it relates to is finished
I like this idea of the hot key SFR. My one worry would be the possibility of ending all the cues since hotkeys are normally placed at the end of the cue list. I haven't played around with it yet... might be something to try out the next time I have a few moments. I really like John's idea of the ru...

Re: OFF TOPIC: VIDEO/presentation software?
So what is it you want? Presentation software or an editing platform? Basic functions such as image placement, movement(of NON-video), transitions is something I can see doing with presentation software. Image manipulation, video editing(trimming), and motion paths seem like you are expecting a do a...

Re: Low cost audio interface
I'd be interested to hear what the noise level on this is. They might work well for small setups as long as when there comes a VERY quiet moment in the show you don't hear "snow." (White noise). The built in soundcard on my Dell laptop has such a high noise floor it is unusable and I shed a tear eve...

Re: Hold Button?
Sounds like the "Stop/Back" button on the Strand lighting consoles (could be on all, but all I get to use is Strand). Minus the back feature. Just something to stop and hold everything where its at to continue at the right time. Am I right?

Re: Subcue relative timing
Why not set your midi cues to start Auto <TIME> from the end of the cue? It would function the same and allow you to start the track closer to the midi cue time.

I would check your assignments on the mixer. Sounds like maybe you might have some overlap. What mixer do you use? If you are using a mixer and cables that are only 2m then you should not have bleed issues unless the cables are REALLY bad. In your setup, you should not need a DI box. A DI box is a d...

Are you using a mixer after the computer and before the speakers? It sounds like you are becoming victim to unbalanced audio. It's the cable. You should keep the cable runs from the computer to the mixer as short as possible or if you really must skip the mixer put a DI box on each line of audio to ...

I understood what you're intended goal was. I just wanted to make it more "every user friendly" shall we put it. The stop button on the cue file itself can work but I do not recommend using those in a live setting with an audience. Being able to prevent future start cues from firing may be a good id...

I think this is a very good idea. Many times a new operator wont actually pay attention to what cue is in standby and just hit spacebar only to find that it was a stop cue and then panic and hit spacebar again only a couple times causing chaos and then a panic stop. Automatically bypassing cues that...

A DI with a ground lift often helps me. If I am strapped and without a pair of DIs, I hate to admit it but I have a ground lift on the plug. I own a Dell. People have mentioned over and over that the Dell power supplies are very noisy. Ground loops a'plenty. I have also noticed occasionally that I g...
