I do not know what the firewire issues might be, but I had the same problems with an Intel IMAC running the 4-channel M-Audio box and Live!LE. I suspect it has to do with firewire settings etc, but I can't recommend the Presonus ...

Yes. I went straight out of the headphone jackinto the mixer and the quality inproved.

I would still like ot use the presonus for another, multi-channel project, but that one is a long way off.

Any ideas about what makes the performance suffer through the firewire connection?

I'm using SCS with a Presonus Firewire adaptor. I found I had to have the adaptor plugged in and the software onboard or SCS woul dnot see it. Basically I had to start SCS second.


Dropped the Firewire because of performace issues.

I have the same Dell laptop running Windows XP home. If I try to add more than 2 or 3 cues or subcues between saves i get a "subscript out of range" error and the program closes. This has happened three time this morning.

These are regular numbered cues, not playlists.

No. I removed the faulty cues that were trying to find a non-existent file and that problem went away.
